Public Surplus - Los Lunas link
Los
Lunas Schools is launching an online auction website that will make it
possible for the public to bid on the District's surplus items,
including vehicles, equipment, electronics and office equipment,
furniture, and many other items.
The District's auctions will be located on the Public Surplus website at www.PublicSurplus.com
where you can see pictures of the items being auctioned, along with the
current prices for items, the number of bids, and the amount of time
left to post a bid. A reserve price may be established for certain
items, however most items will have no reserve. All items are awarded to
the highest bidder. Auction winners are then responsible for picking up
the items at the location described in the auction, or they must
arrange for shipping at their own cost.
In order to place a bid you must register as a Buyer at www.PublicSurplus.com
and enter your basic information. Registration is free and only takes a
few minutes. All registered bidders can sign up to receive email
notifications of new listings or commodities that they are interested
in. District employees are also welcome to register as Buyer and bid on
items for their own personal use.
Los Lunas Schools is excited
about this positive and innovative change, and is joining hundreds of
other government agencies already selling surplus property on www.PublicSurplus.com
including the City of Albuquerque, Farmington, Las Cruces, and
Bernalillo County. The online auctions will generate additional revenue
for the District and be a more efficient method of disposing of surplus
items.
